And the 2022 Queer Twitch Streamer of the Year is Elix

The 2022 QueerX Awards winners were announced during the QueerX Awards on National Coming Out Day October 11th. The awards honor the influential personalities in film, television, and music who have impacted the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to the heralded Visibility Award presented to the amazing Kim Petras, the QueerX Awards categories were Queer Anthem of the Year, Queer Athlete of the Year, Queer TikToker of the Year, Queer Fashion Brand of the Year, House of the Year, Queer Twitch Streamer of the Year, Queer Comedian of the Year, Drag Artist of the Year and Queer Cultural Moment of The Year.

Presented by Biqtch Puddin’, one of the stand out awards was for the Queer Twitch Streamer of the year. Six equally incredible and radically diverse nominees were up for the honor–Aimsey, Eret, Nihachu, Blizzb3AR, Elix and Luminumn. The award went to Elix who was livestreaming the awards show with her family eagerly watching along.

Elix immediately posted that she was “literally speechless” after winning the award along side a heartwarming peek into the joy of winning the award. When asked for a comment about the award, Elix replied, “Step outside of your comfort zone, be scared shitless, nothing gorgeous grows in a complacent garden,”

As a non-binary immigrant and first generation Mexican-American, Elix, found their passion in content creation in 2017. With their addicting laugh, sassy attitude, and warm heart, they’ve become one of the most well known LGBT content creators on Twitch. From being on billboards in Times Square New York, or in Vogue, Elix is just getting started and we will be watching every step of the way.

The QueerX Awards celebrate the individuals that make Revry possible by uplifting the radically inclusive and unapologetically queer. In case you missed the feel-good night of celebration and acknowledgment, the awards show will be available to watch free on Revry.

Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners.
