Cole Jenkins creates LGBTQ+ stories to connect the world

Cole Jenkins

In this profile series, Revry is highlighting authentic contributors to the LGBTQ+ media and entertainment community. We ask questions to find out who they are and where they are going in the future. The questions remain the same but the answers tell their unique story. It’s time to explore and celebrate true representation beyond the limits of Hollywood.

Cole Jenkins is an actor and writer known for Life Is Easy, a Revry original comedy web series that takes a lighthearted approach to the intricacy of sexuality, gender, and race. The New Zealand native creates his stories from his own perspective as a white gay man, while also introducing marginalized groups and creating a space for all to be welcome and represented.

What are you best known for?

Probably 'Life Is Easy' or my cute/cringey wedding proposal to my husband that you may or may not be able to find on Youtube if you look hard enough.

What is the first thing you produced?

'Life Is Easy' was the first large-scale production I have been a creator of. The first thing I co-produced was a little show called 'What Sound does a Gay Shark Make?' which I also created with Chye-Ling Huang for the LGBTQ+ community.

What are you working on that no one knows about yet?

A horror show with Chye-Ling Huang about anti-Asian racism, and as I am an actor's agent, I have my finger on many different projects that are in the early stages of casting and pre-production.
