Joe Biden & Gay US Ambassadors Honor Spirit Day

Queer Steaming TV Network, Revry, gets political on this LGBT History Month and tomorrow’s Spirit Day with their original QueerX Live! awards show and political call to action featuring Vice President Joe Biden's powerful message to the LGBTQ+ community along with Jennifer Lopez, Angelica Ross (Pose), Karamo (Queer Eye), and GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis amongst others. Spirit Day will continue on Revry with their groundbreaking conversation series Amplify Voices: Queer Politics featuring an exclusive first-time conversation with three of only a handful of openly gay US Ambassadors to serve the country, James (Wally) Brewster, Rufus Gifford and James Costos. The episode is moderated by the first two-time gay Presidential Administrative appointee and Vice President Biden’s former Chief of Staff, Moe Vela on Revry’s QueerX TV channel on October 15ht at 5pm PST / 8pm EST.

The featured speaker of QueerX Live!, Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President, Joe Biden, spoke about the assault on LGBTQ+ rights under the current administration and touched on specific discriminatory policies within adoption agencies, homeless shelters, and public services including the military. The Vice President specifically called out the Trump administration’s refusal to respond to the epidemic of violence against transgender women of color. “The White House should never be a source of opposition or fear or oppression. It should be a source of hope and moral courage and unification,” said the Vice President. "I will be an ally of the light not the darkness”

Highlights of QueerX Live! included heartfelt words from Jennifer Lopez, who presented the Revry Visibility Award to Brendon Scholl, her non-binary “nibbling”, whose emotional appearance in the documentary, Draw With Me, examines Brendon’s story of coming out as trans. “The act of being unapologetically yourself is so important to promoting acceptance and change,” said Ms. Lopez.

QueerX Live! brought to you by Lexus, can now be seen On-Demand for free on QueerX TV—Revry’s 24/7 linear channel streaming through October’s LGBT History Month. The channel also hosts the original conversation series, Amplify Voices, which embraces intersectionality through entertainment, sports, politics, and allyship. Thursday’s “Spirit Day” Amplify Voices: Queer Politics dives deep with a prestigious panel of openly gay US Ambassadors / Presidential Administrators exploring the current challenges and opportunities facing the LGBTQ+ community in the U.S. and around the globe, including how Trump’s administration has impacted civil rights, equal rights and LGBTQ+ rights here and abroad.
