Lead with Love with Logan Lynn

Logan Lynn

In this profile series, Revry is highlighting authentic contributors to the queer media and entertainment community. We ask questions to find out who they are and where they are going in the future. The questions remain the same but the answers tell their unique story. It’s time to explore and celebrate true representation beyond the limits of Hollywood.

Logan Lynn (He/Him) is a songwriter, producer, filmmaker, television personality and activist who Billboard writes “has made a career out of crafting catchy, disorderly songs that almost all include big beats, fun melodies and cheeky lyrics”. He has been producing and releasing music for the past two decades, and has albums and singles on Caroline Records, EMI Records, The Dandy Warhols’ Beat The World Records, Greyday Records, Mohr Media, Banana Stand Records, his own label imprint Logan Lynn Music, and now, Kill Rock Stars. His music was also featured prominently in the Netflix series EASTSIDERS.

What are you best known for?

I think a ton of people know me from the early days of Logo TV, by way of my music. That was such a new thing back then -- to have openly LGBTQ+ people being explicitly queer in their art and music videos -- it was memorable for folks, myself included. A lot of the people who follow my career started back then. I also produce THE LIBRARY on Revry, and my documentary LEAD WITH LOVE is also a Revry featured film.

What is the first thing you worked on professionally?

I got signed when I was 17 and was a total nightmare until I was 27, so there was a lot of professional work that happened really unprofessionally during that era. That MTV artist development contract that happened in 2007 was probably the first thing that felt absolutely huge to me. Also my first show we performed for 400,000 people at a festival. That was wild.

What are you working on that no one knows about yet?

I am in the studio currently working on a follow-up album to my Kill Rock Stars debut, NEW MONEY, which just came out in January. We've got a remix EP coming out in June, and a bunch of secret shows happening, so...stay tuned! She was booked and busy.
