The Independent Streaming Alliance is a Collaborative Effort for Independent Streamers

We are thrilled to announce Revry’s participation in the launch of the Independent Streaming Alliance (ISA), an industry forum dedicated to empowering independent streamers and fostering collaboration with consumers, platforms, and media. The ISA is comprised of esteemed founding members, including Allen Media Group, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, Cineverse, Future Today, kweliTV, Revry, Scripps, Tastemade, TMB (Trusted Media Brands), and Vevo.

Collectively, the founding companies of ISA offer over 2,200 independent streaming touchpoints, generating more than half a billion hours of watch time each month. This represents a diverse and highly engaged global audience of consumers who value independent content.

"The formation of the ISA is long overdue," stated Philippe Guelton, Chief Revenue Officer at Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment. "We are joining forces to promote the value of independent streamers and to work collaboratively with platforms, advertisers, and regulatory bodies. Our aim is to ensure a healthy ecosystem that benefits everyone, not just a select few."

Beyond championing independent players, the alliance is committed to highlighting and representing diverse and minority-owned businesses such as Allen Media Group, Future Today, kweliTV and Revry. Additionally, the ISA will advocate for more diverse programming and a more equitable playing field throughout the industry.

Damian Pelliccione, co-founder and CEO at Revry, emphasized the significance of the alliance: "The ISA is the industry support required for a global LGBTQ-first streaming media network like ours to continue providing free ad-supported TV for many years to come. We are proud to be part of this initiative."

The ISA has established three working groups: measurement, distribution, and demand, each addressing key areas of opportunity and challenge for independent streamers in the marketplace.

Cameron Saless, Chief Business Officer at TMB, highlighted the importance of the ISA's role: "As this industry matures and consolidates, we believe we can play an important role in helping our peers and partners solve critical challenges around content discovery, data privacy, and demand transparency, while also ensuring independent programming remains at the forefront."

Evan Bregman, General Manager, Streaming at Tastemade, expressed enthusiasm for the alliance's potential impact: "The ISA presents an opportunity to define standards and best practices that will benefit consumers, advertisers, and programmers alike. Tastemade is proud to be at the forefront of building a sustainable streaming industry."

Together, we can propel the independent streaming ecosystem forward, establishing a stronger and more vibrant industry that benefits all stakeholders. Stay tuned for more updates from the Independent Streaming Alliance as we work to shape the future of independent streaming.
