Amber Rivera on producing her first series

Amber Rivera

Amber Rivera

In this profile series, Revry is highlighting authentic contributors to the LGBTQ+ media and entertainment community. We ask questions to find out who they are and where they are going in the future. The questions remain the same but the answers tell their unique story. It’s time to explore and celebrate true representation beyond the limits of Hollywood.

Amber Rivera is an editor and producer. Her most recent series ‘BIFL’ is described as “an LGBTQ Series about twenty-somethings who are Trying Their Best”. As a collaborator and creative storyteller, she strives to bring out positive representation of the LGBTQ+ community through her work.

What are you best known for?

I'm best known for producing the series BIFL, but am also an editor of over 10 years! Have gotten to edit promos, behind-the-scenes featurettes, music videos, short films, web series and branded content.

What is the first thing you produced?

The first thing I produced was a music video called "3, 2, 1" from artist Justin Charles (go check him out on Spotify/iTunes,) and the first series I produced was BIFL.

What are you working on that no one knows about yet?

This isn't a secret, but I'm currently working on BIFL season 2 with my amazing co-captains Kelsey O'Regan and Daren Taylor.
