Out of all the characters in the classic 2004 movie comedy “Mean Girls,” gay teen Damian, portrayed by out actor Daniel Franzese, had a special place in the hearts of LGBT folks of all ages.
He was funny, flamboyant, and, ultimately, relatable. It was a role that firmly put Franzese, who grew up in South Florida, on our collective radar. His portrayal of Eddie in HBO’s acclaimed series, and follow-up movie, “Looking,” only increased his queer acting cred.
