Kevin McHale Takes on Leading Role in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at The Kennedy Center While Thriving in Podcasting and Music

Kevin McHale, best known for his role as Artie Abrams on FOX’s Glee, is gearing up for an exciting new opportunity in musical theater. He’s set to take on a leading role in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., sharing the stage with Beanie Feldstein. The production, running from October 11 to 20, is already generating buzz, marking Kevin’s return to live theater.

Beyond the stage, Kevin is staying active in the entertainment world. He co-hosts the hit podcast And That’s What You Really Missed with fellow Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz. The show, which offers in-depth recaps of Glee episodes and behind-the-scenes stories, has become a fan favorite, allowing Kevin to reconnect with his audience in a fresh way.

In addition to his acting, Kevin has also made waves in the music industry. In 2019, he released his debut EP Boy, featuring the lead single "Help Me Now." Known for his unique pop sound, the EP was a bold statement from the actor-turned-musician. His versatility has also extended to television, including a role in the American Horror Story spin-off American Horror Stories and portraying Bobbi Campbell in ABC’s mini-series When We Rise.
