LGBTQ+ Streaming Network Revry Acquires Creator Tony Talks’ First Original Feature Boss Up, The Musical Based on Fan-Favorite Character Cassandra

Revry, the world’s first LGBTQ+ streaming network, today announced the acquisition and upcoming release of the original film Boss Up,The Musical, a feature that marks the filmmaking debut from viral creator Tony Talks (Antonio Baldwin). Based on Talks’ popular character Cassandra – the uber-glam, larger-than-life female executive who identifies as “fabulous and flawless”– Boss Up, The Musical follows Cassandra’s journey as she shockingly gets fired from her big-time job, loses face, and must find her self-esteem from within.

Boss Up, The Musical will premiere in Atlanta at the Out on Film LGBTQ+ film festival on January 29. It will make its streaming debut globally on Revry on Feb. 1 during Black History Month.

“Being a creator who does so many characters, I often have to think of who I am outside of all this,” said Tony Talks. “That’s what inspired me to write the film, I relate to Cassandra. It’s called Boss Up because once her job is stripped from her, she has to discover who she is without the title. It’s been a labor of love and I’m really excited for people to have a chance to see it on Revry.”

Tony Talks, who has more than 4.5 million combined followers across social media platforms, conceived the original songs and dance numbers, and cast side-splitting supporting characters including musical artist Ocean Kelly. Boss Up, The Musical was directed by Tee Johnson and Sydney Stewart.

“We were already such huge fans of Tony’s bold creativity that once we saw the film, everything came together quite naturally,” said Damian Pelliccione, Co-Founder and CEO, Revry. “Cassandra’s a fantastic character, it’s a compelling story, the whole movie is joyous, heartwarming, and colorful. It reflects Revry’s spirit of self-discovery, self-celebration, and self-love.”

Revry is the queer streaming media network with free LGBTQ+ TV, movies, series, news and exclusive original programming. Revry is available free anytime on Samsung TV Plus, Roku Channel, Vizio WatchFree+, Xumo, Plex, Freevee, Fubo, Peacock, TCLtv+ and on iOS and Android.
