Lifetime of dance, family and finding acceptance lead Shaun West to international vogue stage

Shaun West is still on top of the world after topping some of the biggest names in vogue and taking home the grand prize at Revry’s Halloween Ball last month. 

The 19-year-old Philadelphia native showcased a distinct mix of fluidity, creativity and calculated risk that set him above the rest in the International Vogue League, capped off by a dip off the stage that Revry CEO and co-founder Damian Pelliccione called “one of the most epic dips” he’d ever witnessed.

With only three years of vogue under his belt, West’s talent and technique rivaled veterans of the scene, but his performance that night in New York City felt like the first culmination of a young man whose life has been defined by dance.
