MENAFTER10 and Casey Hamilton
In this profile series, Revry is highlighting authentic contributors to the queer media and entertainment community. We ask questions to find out who they are and where they are going in the future. The questions remain the same but the answers tell their unique story. It’s time to explore and celebrate true representation beyond the limits of Hollywood.
Casey Hamilton (He/Him) is a writer with his roots in raw, fictional storytelling. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a graduate of Southern University and A&M College, he now writes from Atlanta, Georgia. After briefly working as a freelance copywriter, Hamilton followed his passion for creative writing with his 2013 amateur debut as a YouTube content creator and star of the gay web series, JUDYS. Hamilton's first novel, MENAFTER10, was published in 2021, featuring a series of interconnected stories revolving around a popular gay hookup of the same name which is now available on Amazon and Audible.
What are you best known for?
Creating and starring in a YouTube web-series called JUDYS, a comedy about drama centered around four new friends and their misadventures on the Black gay Atlanta scene.
What is the first thing you worked on professionally?
My debut novel MENAFTER10 is my first creative work of fiction to be published via Amble Press and Bywater Books. It's raw. It's real. And it meets the moment we're in right now where it can feel both easier and harder than ever for gay men to actually connect with other gay men.
What are you working on that no one knows about yet?
Well, I'm working on novel number two, which will once again explore some pretty charged subject matter. Besides that, I'm encouraging everyone I know and love and possibly would like to know and love to vote this November like their right to exist depends on it because it just might.
