What are you best known for?
I am probably best known for my podcast 'Wish U Were Weird.' It's a comedy/pop culture podcast where I interview iconic celebrity guests and discuss all of the most random things you've always wanted to know more about... ranging from but not limited to pop culture, politics, and drag. Guests have included a wide array of fabulous people from Carole Baskin (Tiger King) to Bob The Drag Queen (Ru Paul's Drag Race Winner) to Tik Toker Brittany Broski (Kombucha Girl) and many more. Listen to 'Wish U Were Weird' on Spotify.
What is the first film you wrote?
The first film that I ever wrote was the one that I am streaming on this platform, A Sip With Vodka: A Russian Guide To Becoming A Real Housewife & Making It In America. It follows the journey of a Russian immigrant named Natasha who moves from Siberia to NYC with her son, Robert, in the hopes of becoming a real housewife and cabaret star. This digital comedy series pilot blossomed from a character that I used to record on my phone in high school that transformed into an 8 minute theatre performance piece that I did during my senior year at Fordham University. Natasha is an amalgamation of my Eastern European Jewish ancestry and my lifelong obsession with reality television and 'The Real Housewives.' This story is a love letter to New York City. New York City represents hope for outsiders everywhere. It's an island that accepts weirdos and encourages us to be ourselves. This piece displays New York's embrace of eccentricities through the campy and absurd lens of an immigrant. Also, this pilot features some fabulous drag performers including Thorgy Thorgy (Ru Paul's Drag Race) Jaremi Carey/Phi Phi O'hara (Ru Paul's Drag Race), and Paige Turner (Shade: Queens of NYC, Bravo).
What are you working on that no one knows about yet?
I'm currently working on a musical adaptation of 'A Sip With Vodka' that is called 'A Night With Vodka.' 'A Night With Vodka' is a musical/cabaret hybrid about a Russian immigrant named Natasha who moves with her son, Robert, to NYC from Siberia to become a real housewife/reality tv. Over the course of one night, she puts on a cabaret show- just like her hero Countess Luanne—to get the attention of Bravo TV host Andy Cohen in the hopes that he’ll make her dreams come true.
Before covid, I was performing snippets of the show at cabaret clubs around NYC including at Alan Cumming's 'Club Cumming.' This show was also set to debut at the off-broadway theatre company called 'Out of the Box Theatrics.' You can stay updated on future performances of 'Vodka' at https://www.asipwithvodka.com/ .
In addition to 'A Night With Vodka,' I post comedy sketches regularly on my YouTube channel that are featured on Funny Or Die's community page.
