LGBTQ+ streamer Revry surprised advertisers with a presentation far more fabulous than the typical pitch, Ad Age’s Parker Herren writes. The media programmer showcased its content through a “Wizard of Oz”-themed musical, called the “Wizard of Yaaaaas,” on the NewFronts main stage.

“Insomnia,” a queer South Asian dramedy from Vishaal Reddy, makes its Revry network premiere on Friday, March 18 as part of Revry’s lineup of programming highlighting the Asian experience. The series focuses on a struggling bi-sexual Indian-American writer who can’t seem to get his life together, and secretly starts moonlighting as a male escort.

Revry, the LGBTQ-first media company, released data on the increase in LGBTQ+ targeted consumer streaming on its distribution partners. The latest data from Revry’s distribution, including FAST partners Samsung TV, Roku and Vizio TV, reveal a 5x growth in monthly active viewers in 2021.
