The QueerX Awards brought to you by Lexus premiered October 11, 2021 for National Coming Out Day on Revry. The streaming special was the grand finale to the month-long international film festival competition, QueerX, and featured hosts Drew Droege and Raneir Pollard along with presenters Dwyane and Zaya Wade, Steven Canals, Peaches Christ, and Patton Oswalt.
Major Tony Win for Queer Take on Classic Novel; Victories for LGBTQ+ Rights Around the World; 30 Years of The Dinah
In entertainment, the first latino wins Best Play at the Tony's for a queer take on Em Forster's Howard's End, while Elvira comes out and Willie Garson passes away. Switzerland votes for marriage equality, as Scotland incorporates LGBTQ+ topics into their curriculum and a Polish province rejects homophobia. The lesbian and queer weekend celebration in Palm Springs turns 30.
