Cozmic Cat is a Toronto-based electronic music DJ and producer, known for dynamic, fun and high-energy performances as well as unique and diverse artist partnerships. Her music has been signed, played and licensed worldwide; from Ballantines Whiskey, Indie films and podcasts to iPhone Mobile Aps. The single "The Fixer" from the 2021 " Make Love" e.p (He.She.They records UK) surpassed 350K streams, appearing on Groove Theory and Ministry of Sound playlists (Spotify) and landed Top 20 on the Deep House Global Top 100 chart (Amazon Music). Her music has garnered attention from International DJs such as Jamie Jones, Carlo Lio, Horse Meat Disco, Amy Elle, Just Her, Tommie Sunshine, and more. As a DJ, her skills and energy have led her to light up dancefloors in the US, Canada, South Africa, E.U, and Australia. When was the first time you DJ’d?
A small gay nightclub in Hamilton gave me my first real paid DJ gig. I don't remember the name of the club but the gig stands out because I was so nervous that I lifted the needle off the wrong record (the record that was playing) and the music stopped... and everyone looked up at me in the DJ Booth. That was the first time I fully realized the role, power and responsibility of the DJ in relation to the crowd on the dancefloor!
What are you working on that no one knows about yet?
A gig in South America, creating original music for an indigenous Podcast series, and a brand new E.P
